Tony Rigby

Hello, my name is Tony Rigby and I have supported Children and Families in a variety of settings for the past 18 years and now have the pleasure of being Lead Practitioner of the Little Beehive Nursery in Cupar.

I completed my HNC Early Education & Childcare in 2005 and gained employment in the Little Beehive Nursery, in Newport on Tay, where I found my passion for supporting children from babies to preschool  working there for 4 happy years.

I went on to work within children’s services where I have supported some of Scotland’s most vulnerable children and families to achieve, and realise, their potential. The skills and knowledge I have gained have been invaluable to informing best practice, thus enabling me to provide effective support and improve outcomes for children, and their families, from birth to young adulthood.

For me, Early Learning and Childcare is about creating an environment where all the children are free to be curious, creative and able to active in their learning through exploration. This will be achieved with guidance from confident and knowledgeable practitioners dedicated to meeting their individual needs. Throughout my journey the importance of children’s early years experiences has been undeniable and how working closely with you the parents, grandparents or carers will help to make their time at Little Beehive be full of joy, laughter, learning, love and nurture.
