
"Very Good" Grades for Little Beehive Strathkinness in most recent Inspection!

We are delighted to announce that Strathkinness (St Andrews) has received all 5’s (Very Good) in their most recent inspection!
Care inspectorate grades nurseries from 1 – 6, with 1 being the lowest and 6 being the highest (Exceptional). A Grade of 5 represents the second highest grade possible, and recognition of a “Very Good” standard.
We are delighted to announce that Strathkinness (St Andrews) has received all 5’s (Very Good) in their most recent inspection!
Care inspectorate grades nurseries from 1 – 6, with 1 being the lowest and 6 being the highest (Exceptional). A Grade of 5 represents the second highest grade possible, and recognition of a “Very Good” standard.
“We are absolutely delighted with our inspection gradings and it goes to show the fantastic quality the Little Beehive team deliver day to day.” Carol (Director) commented.
The inspection took place over 1 day and all four areas were assessed by the inspector. The four areas represent the quality framework and are key indicators to the quality of a nursery setting. These 4 areas are;
“How good is our Care, Play and Learning?”
“How Good is our setting?”
“How Good is our leadership?”
“How good is our staff team?”
All have now been graded 5 (Very Good).
Manager Faye Almond, had this to say “We are absolutely thrilled with our grades and delighted to show the quality of Little Beehive Strathkinness. Of course, these grades represent the hard work of the amazing team at Strathkinness and I want to say a massive thank you to them for their continued hard work and dedication to producing the best Early Years education.”
The news of the gradings made its way to local MP Wendy Chamberlain who stopped by the nursery to say congratulations to the team and meet some of the children.
“Our goal is to produce the best Early Learning environment for the children of our communities and we will continue to do that, we are constantly looking at ways to develop and improve our service for the children. Carol (Director) continued, “These grades are a representation of the amazing effort and work put in by the Practitioners, Room leaders, Cooks, cleaners and all the amazing support staff. A huge thank you to everyone of them”
The key messages on the report allow for a quick assessment of key findings,
• Children benefitted from positive interactions from a staff team who were nurturing and responsive to their needs.
• Families had regular opportunities to be involved in their children's learning and in the development of the service.
• Children confidently led their own play and learning.
• High quality resources and play opportunities supported children's curiosity, enquiry, and creativity.
• A dedicated and knowledgeable staff team supported consistent care for children.
• Investment in the outdoor area provided a fun and exciting space for children to benefit from daily outdoor challenging play.
