Interactive Learning Tables added to Pre-School rooms in all Little Beehive Nursery locations.

In August 2020, we moved to our new location at our Kirkcaldy branch and within the branch was a Sharp BIG PAD interactive learning table that the previous nursery had been using. It became clear to us how valuable this resource was to the children and practitioners and subsequently we have equipped each Pre-School room in the Little Beehive Group with an Interactive learning table.

The 40" touch screen comes attached to a portable unit that allows the interactive screen to be rolled around with ease, not restricting the computer to one set location. The screen can also be tilted upwards to form a table the children can sit around to engage in shared learning.

Each interactive learning table is equipped with pre-installed education games and apps to offer a wide range of educational options for children. Each Table can be used by up to 4 children at one time, encouraging collaborative learning, sharing and communication.

Not only does this improving their IT skills and understanding of technology but also it allows for practitioners to use the device to assist with topic learning and child lead research into interests with no barriers to stop them from accessing the information they need.

More and more we are moving to a digital world; the past three years our practitioners have been solely using Famly, an online nursery app, that allows for a child’s journey, through the nursery, to be tracked including their learning journals. With the addition of these Interactive tables, practitioners can involve the children in this at every step, something we are really excited about!"
